BASD at a Glance

Bethlehem Area School District (BASD) is a school district located in Lehigh and Northampton Counties of Pennsylvania.
It serves the city of Bethlehem, the boroughs of Fountain Hill and Freemansburg; as well as Bethlehem Township and Hanover Township, Northampton County.
With an enrollment of over 15,000 students district wide, BASD has 16 Elementary Schools, 4 Middle Schools, 2 High Schools, 2 academies and one pre-kindergarten center.
BASD has more than 2000 employees including teachers and support staff.
Bethlehem Area School District is the original SEG (Select Employee Group) of the Bethlehem Teachers Federal Credit Union which was founded in 1935 by a Liberty High School teacher. Today, BASD & BASD family members comprise about 56% of our membership.
