- Bethlehem Area School District (BASD) is a school district located in Lehigh and Northampton Counties of Pennsylvania.
- It serves the city of Bethlehem, the boroughs of Fountain Hill and Freemansburg; as well as Bethlehem Township and Hanover Township, Northampton County.
- With an enrollment of over 15,000 students district wide, BASD has 16 Elementary Schools, 4 Middle Schools, 2 High Schools, 2 academies and one pre-kindergarten center.
- BASD has more than 2000 employees including teachers and support staff.
- Bethlehem Area School District is the original SEG (Select Employee Group) of the Bethlehem Teachers Federal Credit Union which was founded in 1935 by a Liberty High School teacher. Today, BASD & BASD family members comprise about 56% of our membership.
